On the edge between Long Beach's downtown business district and the growing waterside entertainment district, The West Ocean Condominiums is the visual anchor for a developing residential neighborhood, turning Long Beach into a walkable urban center.

The complex includes two condominium towers, complete with curving facades, corner balconies, and wide arching sun fins for crowns. They evoke a sense of exotic beach vacation living, even though they are permanent homes to a few hundred lucky residents.

Visual interest is added to the buildings by staggering some columns of balconies, and even painting some balconies in primary colors. It's an effect that cheapens the overall look of the building, but at least keeps them from being boring generic seaside codo blocks.
